Offices - 84 housing units - Shops
Giving new life to old offices and workplaces that have become unsuitable for today's needs means offering an answer to the question of these new needs.
Our response consists of proposing quality, luminous, frugal and energy-efficient housing, common areas that create links and a real mix, both inside and outside - made possible by the thickness of the existing building. Intended for all families as well as for the less privileged, they encourage a diversity of uses both inside and outside.
It also consists of inviting nature into the site and planting wherever possible, enhancing the views along the Seine while minimising the nuisance or harm to local residents in each phase of the project.
It also has the ambition to reconcile real local uses and available spaces. Yesterday, people passed 29 quai de Grenelle and when they stopped there... it was to have a car repaired or to buy one! Tourists turned their backs on it on their way to the Eiffel Tower or the Branly Museum.
This is why we propose to update the relationship of local residents and visitors to their mobility. Echoing the automotive and industrial history of the quay (Citroen gears), our response offers future inhabitants, residents and tourists of the Bir Hakeim station the services of their new mobilities, through a mobility centre, the absence of a car park and an ambitious experimentation in the prefiguration phase which will allow us to refine their real needs.
