Paris XX
Saint-Blaise Nursery
Located on Saint-Blaise street in the 20th district of Paris, this project of nursery and day-care center fits into a narrow plot, leading to a layered architecture. This compactness induces a formal readability, excluding any monumental effect, related to its urban context, and at the children’s level.
Due to the narrowness of the plot, the project is made of different strata, each one with its own qualities and orientations. Each of these universes are opening on a pleasant luminous outdoor space, contributing to the quality and the generosity of the project and the path. Courtyards, hanging gardens, balconies and roof terraces, the diversity of exterior spaces seems to extend the interior space. The project focuses on spaces where children can safely develop their psychomotor potential and live the architecture through their bodies.
